What expenses are paid by the Conference? What am I responsible for?

Transportation
-
Airfare – your paid receipt & Reimbursement Request Form must be received no later than July 1 by the Conference Treasurer, Faye Tamakawa (see Reimbursement Information link on the General Conference website)

Automobile – you will be reimbursed for personal automobile travel if driving to LA from Northern California ($125.00); San Diego ($75.00); Arizona ($150.00). 1 reimbursement per vehicle. Complete and submit the Reimbursement Request Form to Faye Tamakawa.

USC campus parking ($8.00/day) – not reimbursable

Home stay – no cost

USC housing (your share) – payable to your local church

$18.62 per night (single occupancy room)

$14.82 per night (double occupancy room)

Linens & towels are provided

Conference will pay for all meals for eligible participants during the General Conference at its designated meal facility (Parkside Restaurant)

Eligible participants will be issued prepaid USC meal cards; Others may purchase meals at their own expense at Parkside; information for alternate campus dining facilities and local restaurants will be distributed.

If I’m an Alternate Delegate, will I be reimbursed for GC related expenses?
-
Only when the Alternate Delegate substitutes for and becomes the Primary Delegate. In those cases, the Primary & Alternate Delegate will share pro-rata any applicable reimbursement allotted for housing, meals & transportation. Requests for reimbursement are to be submitted to and paid by your church.

If arriving by air to Los Angeles (LAX), how can I get to USC?

All those registered for the General Conference will be mailed information packets approximately 2 weeks prior to the meetings. You will receive confirmation of your housing arrangements, and information on the time & location of where you will be picked up.

What to bring?

Bring a portable am/fm radio w/ earphones to receive simultaneous English/Japanese translation during the Conference
